A visit from the Lord Mayor of Norwich created a buzz at a city care home.

Residents at Woodside House, in Heartsease, were delighted to dine with the mayor, city councillor James Wright, and his consort, Imogen.

They tested a variety of desserts, made by the residents themselves.

An assortment of treats from apple crumble to creme brulee were on offer, but the treacle sponge stood out as the mayor's favourite.

Mr Wright commented on the high quality of the desserts while Imogen praised the home's welcoming atmosphere.
