A Norfolk brewery is holding its third annual free summer festival offering beer lovers a day of family entertainment.

The vintage-themed fair at Grain Brewery in Alburgh, near Harleston, will have a “Darling Buds of May” feel. The brewhouse will be turned into a bar, and festival-goers can also enjoy local folk band “Gipsy”, traditionally-made gourmet ice-creams, barbeque, vintage fete games, and brewery tours on request.

Regulars from Grain’s Norwich pub, The Plough in St Benedict’s Street, will be taken to the event, to see where their pub’s beer comes from, in a vintage 1950s Bristol coach.

A small exhibition of watercolours by the farm owner will also be on display for visitors to view and, also back by popular demand, will be the Golden Star morris dancers.

The beer festival, which runs from 2pm to 10pm on Saturday, June 23, will also offer the chance for local producers to showcase their wares.

  • Free? I presume that doesn't include all the beer! For what it's worth I really like Grain beer (and their pub), however I think your headline is somewhat misleading....
