Archant Norfolk 2017

As the countdown to the UK leaving the European Union begins, we want to know, would you still be voting the same way in the referendum today?

Today marks one year since Theresa May invoked Article 50 of the Lisbon Treaty and triggered the process which would result in the UK separating itself from the EU.

Over 30 million people turned out on June, 23 2016 to have their say on whether we should stay or go, with leave ultimately winning the vote by 51.9pc to 48.1pc.

Across the whole of Norfolk, the average vote showed 58.7pc supporting leave.

Interestingly, voters in Norwich were heavily in favour of remaining in the EU, with 56.2pc voting this way, while Great Yarmouth had the highest proportion of leave votes with 71.5pc backing Brexit.

Brexit is now one year away, with the UK set to officially leave the EU at 11pm on March 29, 2019.

Campaigners for Brexit have dubbed it “Independence Day”.

With many calling for a second referendum over the last 12 months, we’d like to know whether your take on the subject has changed.

If you were heading to the polls today, would you still be voting the same way? Vote in our poll and let us know in the comments below.
