Five members of the WI decided to take part in the walk at the start of 2017.

Moria Simpson, Marion Cross, Gerry Brown, Christine Humphries, and Brenda Murch completed the 74km distance in seven stages, raising £546.

They walked the 46 miles from Knettishall Heath to Holme-next-the-Sea.

The group described the walk as: “overall, despite a few mishaps and hold ups along the way, a most enjoyable walk raising money for EACH”.

At the October WI meeting, which was attended by Emma, EACH community fundraiser for Norfolk, Dereham WI president, Christine Humphries, presented the cheque for £546.

Members of the Dereham WI sponsored the walkers and were kept up to date as the walk progressed.
