Diss Leisure Centre will be closed by South Norfolk Council from Monday, June 18 and will re-open on Thursday, June 21 to carry out maintenance work and upgrades.

The learner pool will be closed until June 29 so the filtration system can be upgraded.

Lessons will continue as normal from the June 21, as all learner pool lessons will be in the main pool during the closure, and the council has provided extra qualified teachers and assistants.

Swim School pupils who are unable to use the main pool and have to miss a lesson will have their direct debit payment reduced accordingly.

Councillor Yvonne Bendle, cabinet member, said: “It’s important that we keep on top of the work that needs to be carried out in Diss so that we can provide our customers with the best facilities and leisure experience.”
