Market Street in East Harling will be given a new surface to replace the “rutted and cracked existing one”, with “broken/damaged channel blocks replaced with new, dropped kerbs – meaning that all properties will have vehicular access across the pavement”.

But the works will mean that two-way temporary raffic lights will need to be in place for three weeks from Monday, February 19.

They will be in place from B1111 Market Street, from north of its junction with School Lane, to its junction with King Street.

Access for businesses and residents within the works site will still be maintained at all times and a pedestrian crossing point will be provided.

A statement from NCC said: “The County Council thanks people for their patience while this pavement improvement work is carried out.”
