An inquest date has been set for a well known Norfolk photographer who died in a car crash near her home.

Elizabeth Handy, 77, of Low Road, Bressingham, died in a four-vehicle crash on Monday, March 5 on the A1066 in Garboldisham, just three-miles from her home.

The grandmother-of-four became known for her work adapting David Hockney’s jigsaw images into ‘joiners’ combining three images into one.

Mrs Handy trained as a counsellor with Relate which led to her using photography as a form of therapy.

Her husband, Charles Handy, said at the time: “With her camera she found qualities in her sitters that they did not know they had.

“She was prolific, with exhibitions in four continents, five books of portraits and lovely images hanging on the walls of most of her friends and acquaintances.”

The inquest has been set for Tuesday, December 11 at Norfolk Coroners Court.
