The Archant Norfolk photographers have been out and about doing what they do best and telling the story of the day with their cameras.

They’ve captured empty forecourts, queues of traffic and the sheer panic caused by the Government’s statements on “topping up” yesterday.

  • some people are so selfish perhaps they could spare a thought for the emergency services.would they be happy if they rang the fire service only to be told sorry but we have no diesel

  • good ploy from the government put up the price of petroldiesel in the budget one week then upset the tanker drivers so they threaten to strike hey presto panic stations the government get an instant tax rise!! next month it will be a strike by alcohol suppliers ? will this lead to panic buying of alcohol?? the month after a strike by tobacco suppliers panic buying of tobacco products ? maybe but remember you will all have to walk because there will be no fuel!!!!

  • Panic at the pumps: What the hell is wrong with people? Have they lost all perpective of life? Seems so. One misplaced Tory comment (fuelled by politics - no pun intended) has given more cause to the tanker drivers than any Tarde Union ever could have done.
