An 18-year-old Eye man has died after his car left a Yaxley road and collided with a hedgerow and tree.

The unnamed teen was the driver of a Rover 214 which left Castleton Way half a mile east of the junction with the A140 at 12.15am on April 7.

He was taken to Ipswich hospital and subsequently transferred to Addenbrookes hospital in Cambridge later the same day. He died at 9.15am yesterday.

Anyone with information in relation to the collision should phone PC Stephen Griggs at the Serious Collision Investigation Team at Suffolk Police Martlesham Headquarters on 101.
