Scattered showers and mild temperatures for Norfolk and Suffolk over the Easter weekend

Forecasters predict scattered showers and sunny spells as the region prepares for the Easter bank holiday weekend.

Concerns that snow might be on the way for Norfolk and Suffolk over the Easter weekend can be laid to rest with milder temperatures and scattered showers predicted instead.

The long weekend will start off with cloud on Good Friday and rain across much of the county during the afternoon, temperatures are likely to hover around 5/6C.

Saturday will feel milder as temperatures hit highs of 11C and showers will be broken up by sunny spells.

Easter Sunday is likely to be the driest day of the weekend but will not be without the risk of the odd isolated rain shower.

Bank holiday Monday is expected to start of dry before more showers move in during the afternoon.

Forecaster Chris Bell said the forecast was normal for April; “Sunshine and showers are very average for the time of year.”
