Youngster donates 15 hampers to those in need

Youngster Scarlett Brown has been busy putting those less fortunate than herself first raising money and taking donations.

Scarlett, aged eight, from Diss, has been fundraising for the last nine months so she can buy Christmas presents to donate to the Salvation Army.

With the help of her mother, Louise Brown, and younger sister, Effi, aged three, she wrote to friends, family and supermarkets asking for donations.

She has also ran car boot sales selling off her own items to raise extra money. With the money was able to buy gifts each week to be given away at Christmas.

In total there are 50 gifts and 15 hampers made up of food, toiletries and small gifts for the elderly before and wrapping them ready for the Salvation Army to give away.

The gifts and hampers were delivered to the Salvation Army in Diss where she met Major Barry Wilson who organises the Tins and Toys collection in Norwich.
