Harleston Magpies Ladies are away to Southgate on Saturday in their third East Conference match of the season (2pm).

Southgate have had a tough start to the season, losing 5-0 at Cambridge City and 3-0 at home to Sevenoaks.

By contrast Magpies have had a positive start, winning their opening match at Bedford 3-0 before going down 4-3 at home to Wimbledon in a tremendous match against a team who have ambitions to win the league this season.

Unfortunately for Magpies they could not hold on to what would have been an excellent 3-3 draw and conceded the decisive goal with four minutes left.

However the performance will have given Magpies the belief that they can take on the top teams and push them all the way. This weekend they will have to make sure they maintain the same attitude if they want to get the result.

Squad: L Barber (capt), M Brown, K Sitch, L Greenacre, D Francis, F Burrell, C Harrison, L Taylor, E Rash, L Rowe, L Whiting, E Lee-Smith, J Bloom, L Clymer, T Findlay.
