Scole lost a high scoring, heartbreaking semi final to Reffley Royals and so will not be playing at Carrow Road this season.
AFC HOXNE v Claydon Reserves. AFC Hoxne gained a point in the promotion race, but it will be consolation after a poor performance against Claydon Reserves. The game started with Hoxne well on top and controlling the game, but with sloppy passing never really created any clear cut chances. James Harrison was a constant threat down the right with his blistering pace and he almost set up the first goal, but Colin Mayhew’s header went over the bar. Harrison was again the provider minutes later when he cut the ball back for Ryan Perry, but his touch wouldn’t quite take it past the defender and the ball was cleared. The visitors were starting to grow into the game as the conditions got worse and after 25 minutes they were awarded a penalty when the forward was brought down by Wayne Kerry. The striker picked himself up and smashed the ball into the bottom corner, but Richard Ferry got down and made a brilliant save. The home side got back on top and almost took the lead when Martin Kent beat his man and poked the ball towards goal, but the keeper saved well. In the 41st minute Hoxne took the lead when Wayne Kerry switched the ball out wide to Mark Ismay who found James Harrison who in turn beat his man and travelled into the area before finishing well to make the score 1-0 at half-time.
