Lowestoft Town swoop for Bury Town midfielder

11:37 18 June 2012

Lowestoft Town have raided Suffolk rivals Bury Town once again with the signing of Lee Smith.

The 24-year-old has put pen-to-paper on a two-year deal at Crown Meadow and follows in the footsteps of Danny Cunningham, who also crossed the divide earlier this month.

Smith has been the Trawlerboys’ number one target this summer as the Blues management team look to launch another all-out assault on promotion.

DISS U10 beat Hellesdon 2-1 when a Charlie Bowen brace increased Diss’ unbeaten run to seven games. Hellesdon took the lead early but from then on in it was all Diss. Bowen got his first after a brilliant pass from Cameron Rossell sent him clear to fire into the net. Bowen then added his second and Diss’ second with a brilliant team goal, starting with a fine Dane Potter pass out wide which was matched with another brilliant cross from Rossell, which allowed Bowen to tap into the unguarded net.
