Norfolk Punt Club entertained Royal Thames YC in a five-race team match sailed in YBODs, duly won 4-1 by the hosts. The visitors presented a trophy which will be competed for in future years.

Charity the winner at Acle Regatta

Acle Regatta is steeped in tradition. Managed from a base ship alongside the river, and with a refreshment marquee and other attractions, it raises around £1,000 annually, this year for Acle Voluntary Aid (AVA), Macmillan Cancer Support, and Brundall and Blofield Scouts, and Sailability. Last year’s donations to AVA, Alzheimers, and Sailability were presented on Sunday.
