An MP has called for improved safety measures while work is being carried out on the most dangerous junction in the county after a collision took place there last night.
Richard Bacon, MP for South Norfolk, witnessed the incident at the Pulham crossroads on the A140 which resulted in minor injuries when it took place at just after 5pm.
Work is currently being done at the junction to turn it into a roundabout following a high number of accidents there.
He said: “This junction is already the most dangerous in the county in terms of points accumulated - that's why there are roadworks there right now, as based on its points it is the top priority in the county for road improvement.
“But until that work is completed it still operates as a crossroads.”
Mr Bacon said he has asked Norfolk County Council to review the situation at Pulham and to “seriously consider” whether the temporary traffic lights should be put there until improvements are completed.
