FUNDRAISER Paul Riches has been boosted by the delivery of a load of bicycles.

Paul, who has a garage in Bracon Ash, restores the bicycles and sells them to raise money for East Anglia's Children's Hospices (EACH), making nearly £2,000 since he started his appeal.

The latest consignment of two-wheelers is surplus stock given by Lings' Harleston manager Mark Powell.

With the opening of a new Lings Harleston store on Mendham Lane, Mark realised that a lot of the unneeded bicycle stock held at the old shop could be put to much better use than spares or scrap, and after seeing Paul's appeals in the local press, contacted him to see if he could

help.

“I saw Paul's appeal in the local paper for old cycles that he repaired and sold on to raise money for East Anglia's Children's Hospices and I thought it was an excellent idea,” said Mark

“When we moved to our new premises on Mendham Lane in Harleston we had to store all our surplus cycle stock and we were looking to sell it on, but given

that EACH is one of the chosen charities that we support we decided

to donate all the stock we had to

assist Paul in his venture.”

EACH provides care and support for life-threatened children and their families in their own homes, as well as at the charity's hospices based at Quidenham, Ipswich and Milton in Cambridge.

The delivery from Lings Harleston included a selection of bicycles and all sorts of cycle spares including tyres, tubes, brake cables, brake blocks,

seats and forks.

Paul is continually on the look-out for more bicycles, so if you've got an old unused or unwanted pushbike and you want to help the charity, call him on 01508 570642.
