A 43-year-old man who was arrested on suspicion of the murder of a north Suffolk pensioner has been released without charge.Detectives have today renewed their appeal for information following the death of retired thatcher Richard Clarke on Saturday August 22.
A 43-year-old man who was arrested on suspicion of the murder of a north Suffolk pensioner has been released without charge.
Detectives have today renewed their appeal for information following the death of retired thatcher Richard Clarke on Saturday August 22.
The 73-year-old was found collapsed in his driveway in Cranley Green Road, in Eye, and died at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital.
A post mortem examination revealed that Mr Clarke had sustained a head injury and his death is being treated as suspicious.
Police today confirmed that they would not be taking any further action against the 43-year-old who was arrested on August 22 and had been on bail.
Detectives are keen to speak to anyone who was in the Cranley Green Road area between the evening of Friday August 21 and the morning of Saturday August 22, and are particularly keen to trace anyone who drove along the road towards Occold between 5am and 7.30am.
