Police have seized more than 100 cans and bottles of alcohol in the last four weeks from under-age drinkers in the Wymondham area. The booze was confiscated from young people drinking in the vicinity, especially within the town's designated public place order (DPPO), as part of a crackdown on anti-social drinking by the local Wymondham, Hethersett and Mulbarton safer neighbourhood teams.

The incidents were mainly happening on weekend evenings where parents were informed about their child's drinking habits.
A 20-year-old man who lives in Wymondham has been fined �80 for buying alcohol for young people under the age of 18yrs.
