A new Turkish restaurant in a former pub is delighting customers with its sizzling grilled kebabs.

Cappadocia has opened in Diss and its owners Adil Hakan and Cetin Huylu are hoping to bring a taste of authentic Turkish cuisine to the market town.

The eatery is in the former White Elephant pub which has been transformed with a modern interior and open kitchen and grill.

Mr Hakan said: "The opening went better than we could have expected, we had great feedback and everyone left happy.

"We decided to open in Diss as we realised there weren't many other restaurants serving authentic Turkish cuisine in the area which is something we're so excited to bring to the town."

Diss Mercury:

Both chefs have 30 years of combined experience and will be cooking marinated meats on the charcoal grill which is a central feature of the restaurant.

They will also be creating freshly made desserts such as baklava.

Customers can order its platters which can feed up to five people and come with a selection of skewered kebabs, chicken wings, lamb ribs, and lamb chops served with sides such as salad, rice and bread.
