A popular wedding and events venue has released the first images of a massive new bridal suite coming to their Suffolk site.

Little Green Wedding Barn has grown quickly after opening its doors to events and weddings in 2019, winning a 2022 Wedding Industry Award for the best barn venue in the Suffolk region.

The venue is owned by Paul and Sarah Yaxley, who also run the much-loved Suffolk pub The Fox and Goose in Fressingfield.

Now they have revealed images of the plans for a massive and modern bridal suite which is due to be completed in April 2024, just as the wedding season hits.

Local architect Tom Mckechnie of Gorniak and Mckechnie architectural firm has worked with the couple closely on the design of the project.

The Yaxleys decided on the investment because of how rural the venue is.

"We are really looking forward to it," said Mr Yaxley.

"Lots of local places aren't big enough to host large wedding parties in the lead up to an event and it is hard to co-ordinate everything from such a distance."

The six double bedrooms will all feature ensuite bathrooms and large windows to capitalise on the uninterrupted views of the rural Suffolk countryside. It is also fitted with a full kitchen and several indoor and outdoor social spaces.

"We originally wanted to use containers in the structure of the build," said Mr Yaxley.

"We liked the concept of it but it didn't work out, and we have worked closely with Tom (Mckechnie) to achieve something in a similar style. He has been brilliant.

"The whole construction team from our barn conversion and modern extension build is back too. We trust them to do a good job!"

The foundations are being laid and progress images are being shared on the Little Green Wedding Barn's social media.
