Three swans have been captured by police after they we found meandering up a busy road.

The feathered criminals had to be rescued from the A149 near the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in King's Lynn on Sunday night.

Student officers were on hand to get the swans safely to Bawsey Lakes.

King's Lynn police added this was "where they waddled off into the sunset".

It comes after police picked up another feathered criminal in Norwich last week after the juvenile was seen swanning around Ber Street and Castle Meadow.
