The Environment Agency has issued an urgent flood warning for the River Waveney.
The notice is in place for the valley from Diss to Bungay and means that flooding on low-lying land, roads and riverside areas is likely.
The agency has issued the warning after seeing higher-than-normal river levels between Diss and Billingford.
Officials identified Homersfield, Needham Mill, Brockdish, Scole and Diss as areas at risk, with a warning for the A143 at Scole and Homersfield and the A1066 at Diss

It comes days after Storm Babet and Storm Ciarán, which have left rivers swollen and many areas of countryside beneath water.

Forecaster says more wet weather could be on the way.
A spokesman for the Met Office said: "A front coming across the UK on Wednesday from west to east will deliver further rain across East Anglia.
"Parts of the region have experienced severe weather impacts recently and therefore catchments will remain sensitive to rainfall in the immediate future".
