A pub has taken over the management of a nearby venue.

In September the Star Wing Brewery at Redgrave, near Diss, announced it would be closing in its current business format.

But a pub in the same village has since agreed to take it on and continue running "a full calendar of events".

The Cross Keys pub said in a statement: "The team at The Cross Keys in Redgrave is delighted to announce that an agreement has been reached with Star Wing Brewery Limited to take over the running of the site in the future."

Stephen Larder, director of The Cross Keys, said that although the brewery facilities have been uninstalled, there will be plenty more to look forward to.

"When we heard what was happening with Star Wings closing, it made sense to take a look," he explained. "It has a huge potential for events."

He said people can expect to see beer festivals, fayres, weddings, live music, outdoor cinemas and "anything that lends itself to a picturesque outdoor location".

The newly-named Star Wings Events venue will officially come under The Cross Keys' management on December 1.
