"Small businesses have had a tough few years and as part of our initiative to help the local community, we have provided 50 free stalls.

"It is the perfect way for visitors to pick up some wonderful Norfolk-made Christmas gifts while seeing our fantastic animals and creating some special memories.”

The event runs from November 24 to Sunday 26 and opens at 9.30am.

The festival is included with zoo admission tickets, which are £23 for adults, with children going free throughout November.

Christmas Experience tickets including the train, grotto and Christmas show are £24.95 per person, or the show can be booked separately for £5 per person.

George Freeman, MP for Mid Norfolk, added: “I’m delighted to be formally opening the 2023 Norfolk Christmas Enterprise Festival - especially at Banham Zoo, a fantastic venue."
