A rhea which has been on the run across Suffolk for four months has finally been reunited with his owner.
The aptly named Chris first escaped from a farm in Diss in late November 2023, and has been spotted in various locations in mid Suffolk since.
After a tour around the county, the rhea was eventually caught about a mile away from his home in Stuston.
Owner Stephen Alleyne said: "I am pleased, although I feel I have stopped his adventures. He was having a great time, but it is nice to have him back.
"He has almost gone the same way back. I wonder if he was coming home anyway. He has visited the same places."
Chris visited various villages in Suffolk during his escape, including Wetheringsett, Bedfield and Debenham.
Rheas originate from South America and are distantly related to emus and ostriches.
Males can reach heights of six feet tall and reach speeds of up to 35mph.
