Several planned roadworks across Norfolk are causing delays for drivers.

Here are five works and closures that motorists should be aware of over the next seven days.

1) Lynn Road near Downham Market

The works started on Monday night in Lynn Road near Downham Market as the route undergoes resurfacing.

The closure is to run overnight for three days from May 13 until May 16 - with the road closed from 8pm until 5am each night.

It will cover Main Road in Crimplesham on to the A134 and an official 32-mile diversion is in place.

2) Gertrude Road in Norwich

Gertrude Road in Norwich is currently closed for two weeks as works are carried out by Norfolk County Council to fix subsidence issues along the road.

Subsidence is when the ground underneath a building or road starts to sink causing danger to drivers and residents.

3) Lyhart and Irving Road in Norwich

The project along sections of Lyhart Road began last week and is not expected to be completed until the first week of July.

The £95,700 works will replace the existing worn sections of pavement surface with a new asphalt surface and replace damaged kerbs and edgings.

Fully signed diversion routes are in place and pedestrians are being directed around the works with signage and barriers.

4) A1101 in Upwell

Work on the A1101 in Upwell will be carried out until May 17 near the junction with Silt Road and Penny Toll Road.

The Norfolk County Council project, which will cost £117,000, will replace the existing worn-out road surface.

To minimise disruption, the resurfacing will take place between 7pm and 6am.

5) A140 in Tivetshall St Mary

Work is due to start on May 16 to surface dress part of the road at Tivetshall St Mary near Diss.

The Norfolk County Council project which will cost £132,900 will see the closure of the road on several dates for surfacing, lining painting and road stud renewal.
