An annual event that celebrates everything about South Norfolk is set to receive a £12,000 funding boost from the Arts Council.

South Norfolk on Show, an event in Long Stratton that attracts thousands of people keen to enjoy a great day out for all the family, will celebrate its tenth anniversary when it takes place on June 30.

The Arts Council grant will support the district council to deliver the show over the next three years to enhance the quality of the artistic contributions and will be used to provide high quality performances and arts workshops.

This year's theme is health and wellbeing and the funding will be used to help motivate and inspire people to take part in new activities.

Cabinet member Keith Kiddie, said: 'Every year thousands of people enjoy this wonderful event. The funding means we can add to the already great variety of entertainment on offer for all ages. There will also be the usual fantastic variety of local food, craft stalls and much more.'
