An extension of a south Norfolk pub's beer garden is being recommended for refusal next week over noise concerns.
The landlords of the Horseshoes public house in Billingford, near Diss, want to change the next door garden at the Old Post Office, in Low Road, for the use of drinkers, with disabled access.
But South Norfolk Councillors will be asked to refuse the planning application on Monday following concerns about the disturbance to local residents.
The proposals come after Janice Cargill and John Longhorn were refused permission in 2007 to expand the beer garden at the Horseshoes.
Despite downgrading the plans and moving the boundary of the site seven meters away from the nearest neighbour, South Norfolk Council officers are still recommending refusal because of noise concerns.
The application has received one letter of support and one letter of objection.
