An off-duty officer was helped by members of the public to arrest a thief.

The incident happened on Saturday in Diss after a man stole a bike. He was chased by the owner, who was helped by members of the public before being arrested by an off-duty Bury St Edmunds officer.

A tweet by South Norfolk Police said there was “great support” from the community.
