A town high street that has seen a number of high profile closures could be boosted by the opening of a new fashion business.

Plans have been submitted to turn former offices on Mere Street in Diss into a secondhand sustainable boutique and dress agency.

Caitlin Seale has applied to South Norfolk Council to change the use of 15A Mere Street from first floor and second floor offices into a retail shop and storage.

In her submission she states: "The shop will give the local community the opportunity to be able to sell clothes and accessories they no longer need as well as buy items from brands not currently available on Diss high street."

Diss has suffered a number of business closures in recent months, including McColls which shut its Mere Street store last week.
