Office manager Jackie Berry, of Old Buckenham, is about to become the first person ever to retire from Broadland Windows since the com-pany was established 35 years ago.

She joined the company in 1990 and met her husband Keith through her work. They were married seven years ago and are looking forward to enjoying retirement together with planned trips to Brazil, New Zealand and France, where they are regular visitors.

The couple make a point of experienc-ing a different region each time, and Jackie is due to undertake an advanced French language course from this month with the extra time on her hands.

She said: "Broadland Windows is very dear to my heart, not only for the fact that I have worked there for almost 20 years and in the course of that met my husband but it holds many fond memories and some wonderful people."

She added: "I am really looking forward

to studying advanced French conversation

at Attleborough Community Centre in

March. My easel is at the ready to, hopefully, start painting in watercolours again too.

"There are some truly spectacular open fields where I live near Old Buckenham that have definitely inspired me to take it up again as a hobby."
