A major route in and out of Diss will be closed for four weeks while the reconstruction of the carriageway takes place.
The work, which begins on February 21, will take place on 75 metres of carriageway along the A1066 Scole Road extending east from the junction with Sawmills Road.
The reconstruction and resurfacing process, to be undertaken by Norfolk County Council's Environment, Transport and Development Partnerhsip and its contractors, involves the complete pulverisation and strengthening of the road.
A signed diversion via the B1077 Stuston Road, A143 and A140 will be in place for the duration of the work which is set to cost 400,000.
Access to properties and businesses will be maintained, although the county council warns some disruption will be inevitable.
