Cadet speeds into the finals

HE'S THEWINNER: Diss cadet Tom Twyman has sped into the finals of a national event.
1070(Diss) Squadron air cadet, Tom Twyman is in the national final of the British Schools Karting Championship to be held at Milton Keynes on Sunday.
Five hundred teams compete all over the country, across 27 UK regions, culminating in a 34-team final at Daytona Milton Keynes.
Cdt Twyman said: 'It is going to be awesome! The competition has been tough all the way with 1,500 students representing their schools in some fierce and close racing. I'm in a team of three representing Hartismere High in Suffolk.'
Diss Air Cadets parade every Tuesday and Thursday at the Drill Hall, Sunnyside, Diss from 7-9.30pm and welcomes all young people aged between 13 and 18 years.
