Norfolk's Police and Crime Commissioner and Chief Constable will be answering questions from the public at a meeting in Diss tonight.

PCC Lorne Green and Chief Constable Simon Bailey will host the event at Diss' Corn Hall to give people the opportunity to share views, issues or concerns about crime and policing in their area.

Mr Green will also be taking part in a walk about around the town centre on Monday afternoon to meet and canvass the views of members of the public.

The meeting, one of a number of regular Q&A events around the county, comes after police wrote to residents to reassure them after stepping up patrols in response to concerns about gangs and a fracas that led to three arrests.

'As Norfolk's Police and Crime Commissioner, it is important I continue to listen and take on board any concerns people may have about policing in the county,' said Mr Green.

'It's public feedback like that which helps me fulfil the different responsibilities which come with my role – including setting crime reduction priorities, providing victim support services and holding our police force to account on behalf of the communities it serves.'

The Q&A is open to all and is being held at 6pm in Diss Corn Hall.
