Conservatives held all divisions in our area in Norfolk and Suffolk county council elections this month.

Results in Norfok included:

Wymondham, Joe Mooney, 2,222 votes; Hethersett, David Bills, 2,215 votes; Forehoe, Colin Foulger, 1,785 votes; Long Stratton, Alison Thomas, 1832 votes; Attleborough, Rhodri Oliver, 1,685 votes; Hingham, Margaret Dewsbury, 1,708 votes; West Depwade, Beverley Spratt, 2,413; Diss and Roydon, Keith Kiddie, 1,484; East Depwade, Martin Wilby, 1,858. Results in Suffolk included Hoxne and Eye, Guy McGregor, 1,846. All eyes are now on what will happen at the general election on June 8. In our region, South Norfolk incumbent Richard Bacon (Con) is being challenged by Chris Brown (Lib Dem), Danielle Glavin (Lab) and Catherine Rowett (Green), and in Mid Norfolk, incumbent George Freeman (Con) is being challenged by Tracy Knowles (UKIP); Hannah Lester (Green) Sarah Simpson (Lab) and Fionna Tod (Lib Dem).
