A group of veterans were able to retrace some of their footsteps after visiting the Norfolk Tank Museum.
The Desert Rats Association and Medway RTR Veterans, based in Bury St Edmunds, made the trip to the museum, in Forncett St Peter, led by the former youngest tank commander, Trevor Dady, who was aged just 19 at the time.
Rodney Scott BEM, chairman of the Desert Rats, Museum said: "Many of the tracked vehicles were evoking found memories and other memories best forgotten. The museum was a welcome oasis on such a hot day."
The visit came as Norfolk Tank Museum hosted its Armourfest display which saw some of the military's most powerful vehicles put through their paces.
Vice president of the Desert Rats Association donned a First World War tank operator's uniform for a special viewing of the museum's MKIV Big Willie tank.
