A DEVELOPER is staging a family fun day in Diss Park next week to mark the start of construction of a 114 home affordable estate.
Hundreds of residents have already expressed an interest in moving onto the Long Meadow development between Diss and Roydon after builders moved onto the site, off Denmark Lane, earlier this summer.
Developer Crossover C-Zero is organising a free afternoon of family fun next Thursday at the park between midday and 5pm.
The event will include entertainment from local magician Poz, a bouncy castle, mega-slide and candy floss stall.
Organisers are also set to provide a tethered hot-air balloon, weather permitting, which will be available to take small family groups for trips above Diss.
People who have registered an interest in buying a Long Meadow home will also be invited to an evening barbeque at the Park Hotel.
