Two men claiming to be offering a 'roof cleaning' service have aroused suspicion after making calls at homes in a Norfolk village.

Norfolk Trading Standards has warned householders to be on alert for doorstep cold callers after the men were reported on November 18 to be operating around Dickleburgh, near Diss.

A spokesman said: "We have had reports of two men going door to door offering to undertake roof cleaning work. The two men were seen to return to a red VW car."

Trading standards urges residents to never deal with anyone who cold calls on the doorstep offering to undertake work on or around your property.
