In their first meeting of 2018 members of the Diss and District Royal Air Force Association came together to reflect on the fundraising achievements of the previous year and look forward to what the new year holds.
Group president, Richard Youngs thanked members for their hard work over 2017, which enabled the group to raise a total of £3758 for charity and added that in the year which sees the RAF celebrate it’s centenary he hoped members could exceed last year’s efforts.
The Diss and District group meets on the forth Monday of every month at 7.30pm in Diss Bowls Club, Lower Denmark Street.
Anybody who is interested in the RAF is welcome to join and does not have to have served in the RAF to become a member.
Club member, Richard Reeve said: “It’s an association to raise money for serving RAF members and veterans but it’s also a social club.”
