The organisers of a carnival which last year attracted record numbers of visitors to a South Norfolk market town have revealed the theme for this year's event.
'Water Wonderland' has been announced as the theme of the 2018 Diss Carnival, which aims to celebrate of one Diss's greatest attractions, The Mere.
Not just the focal point of Diss, water features in many of the town's crests and emblems.
Organisers hope the watery theme will provide visitors and participants with plenty of inspiration, highlighting mermaids, pirates, whales and shoals of fish as just some of the things which might appear at the carnival.
The Diss Town Carnival will take place in Sunday, June 10.
A free event, organisers are currently looking for businesses and residents who wish to be involved.
