An exhibition is to be held at Diss to celebrate the success of the town's involvement in the Cittaslow movement.

The initiative, which started in Italy, promotes all that is best in rural communities like Diss, where life is led at a more leisurely pace than many areas.

The aim of the exhibition - on Saturday, August 23 from 10am to 4pm at the Corn Hall - is to enable more residents and visitors to gain a better understanding of the Cittaslow concept, and celebrate what has been achieved so far.

There will be information on display about the large number of successful projects undertaken during the past 18 months by the Cittaslow Diss Leader plus European funded programme, and exciting plans for future projects in the town.

The event has been organised by Cittaslow Diss in partnership with the local Rotary Club, and drinks and samples of food will be served free of charge to visitors.
