A decision on whether controversial modern flats overlooking Diss Mere are given the go-ahead could finally be made next week.
Developers want to demolish an existing garage and two storage buildings behind the Happy Palace Chinese restaurant on St Nicholas Street and build three-storey apartments.
The plans have been recommended for approval by South Norfolk Council but have been deferred twice by its development management committee; first so members could visit the site and again to allow the developer time to put forward a plan to manage construction.

Diss Town Council and Diss Heritage Triangle Trust are among those to have raised objections over concerns about the impact on the neighbouring community wildlife garden and traffic, while businesses around Tudor House Yard have claimed it would make trading "intolerable".
