A meeting will be held in Diss this month to plan the town’s celebrations for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations next year.

June 2012 marks the 60th anniversary of the Queen’s reign and Diss Community Partnership is planning a big lunch in Diss town centre on Sunday, June 3 to celebrate the occasion.

Other groups who are thinking of organising celebration events for the Diamond Jubilee are invited to a planning meeting at Mary’s Church Hall on Tuesday, September 27 at 7.30pm.

The aim of the meeting is to coordinate activities and publicity and share ideas on how to make the jubilee an exciting and happy time in Diss.
