Diss Rotary organised a programme of events including a Sunday morning cycle ride calling at Blooms of Bressingham. One of the many highlights was a dinner organised by the ladies of Diss Inner Wheel at an old barn in Garboldisham. Special guests included the Rotary district governor, Duncan Howlett and chairman of the district international committee, Mark Little. Other clubs were also represented. Dancing followed the speeches and toasts. Duncan Howlett complimented all three clubs for their successful co-operation. Erik Moesland and Rimantas Kevalaitis, senior members of the Kupiskis and Hadsten groups, spoke of the appreciation of efforts made by Diss to make a major contribution to joint projects that the three clubs had brought to fruition.

In Lithuania a large school kitchen had been refurbished thanks to fundraising by the clubs. The Danes took the opportunity to confirm a substantial contribution to an international project in Zambia initiated and organised by Diss Rotary Club. This project is providing fresh water for remote villages in Zambia and has become one of the most successful schemes in the country.
