PUBLISHED: 17:37 23 September 2011

A charity swim will take place in Diss next month to raise funds for the British Heart Foundation.

The charity is inviting swimmers of all ages and abilities to come along and take part in their annual swim at Diss Swim and Fitness Centre on Saturday, October 8 from 6pm to 9.00pm.

Teams from schools and swimming clubs are also invited to take part in the junior and senior relay swimming on the night as well as individuals.

Doug Miller, one of the volunteer organisers of the swim, said: “We all know someone that’s been affected by heart disease – sadly it touches us all. Taking part in events like the Diss swim helps the BHF continue to save lives every day.”

Entry and sponsor forms are available from Doug Miller on 01379 652343, Diss Swim reception or Brenda Clabburn on 01953 450210 or email
