The Diss, Thetford and District Citizens Advice Bureau is appealing for new volunteers and trustees to join its ranks.
Citizens Advice provides free, confidential and independent advice to help people overcome their problems and volunteers play a vital role in offering this service.
Marion Morse, the chair of trustees for Diss, Thetford and District, said: “We are always looking for new volunteers. As well as advisers, support workers and receptionists, one of our key groups of volunteers are our trustees.
“They ensure the bureau is managed and governed effectively as they are responsible for finances, all staff and the buildings and the delivery of our services in the community.”
A knowledge of finance, project management and IT are beneficial to being a trustee and a willingness to act as part of a team, listen and make decisions are important.
