Meet the carnival king and queen with a combined age of 168
They might be 77 and 91 years young, but the new king and queen of Diss Carnival are planning on getting stuck into the celebrations when the parade comes to town.
After a break without carnival royalty, the tradition has been revived and care home residents Gordon Campbell and Barbara Ward were selected by staff at the De Lucy House Care Home.
Gordon Campbell, 77, has been at the home for more than two years. He was crowned king, by Diss Council's own Dinsdale Duck, of the event taking place on June 9.
He said: "I am looking forward to the carnival it is going to be fun of course, I can't wait to see the parade."
Along-side him is the carnival queen, Barbara Ward, 91, who was celebrating her birthday.
She said: "I am looking forward to carnival, today has been lovely, I have never had a birthday like this is my life.
"Dinsdale was so funny, you can't help but love him and I even had a little dance."

The home took part in the parade last year with a number of residents making the trip up to the High Street from the home on Victoria Road.
Activities coordinator Karen Lynch said: "We had about 10 residents at the carnival last year and it was such great fun that when the council asked if we would host the king and queen there was no hesitation.
"We have been round the home and asked everyone if they would like to be in the procession and we now have 22 residents involved, we just need to organise all of the transport."
This year's carnival theme is pre-Diss-toric and De Lucy residents will be dressing-up as characters from the Flintstones and decorating their wheelchairs to look like the cars from the popular 1960s cartoon.
Ms Lynch added: "We have got costumes, dinosaurs and we're always thinking we just need a bit of cardboard for this and that.
"The residents are going to absolutely love the carnival with Gordon being one of the longest residents and Barbara always getting involved in everything we do."
Diss Town Council is in the process of fundraising for the carnival as well as looking for volunteers.
