Motorists are facing lengthy tailbacks after road works began on one of the busiest junctions in a Norfolk town.
Footpath reconstruction work has seen traffic lights installed on the mini-roundabout at the junction of Park Road and Denmark Street in Diss.
The work, which began on Monday, April 1, is scheduled to last three weeks. Already before 8am long queue of traffic had built up on the A1066 main road through the town.
The traffic lights are limiting access to the five-way junction from Park Road and Stanley Road, both parts of the busy A1066 through road, and the north and south parts of Denmark Street. Motorists from Croft Lane are also seeing restrictions.
Tailbacks were stretching down Victoria Road and affecting the roundabout access to Morrisons and Tesco and junction with Mere Street.
