A South Norfolk school which was deemed as requiring improvement by Ofsted has performed well following an interim inspection.

In November 2016, Ditchingham Church of England Primary School was found by Ofsted inspectors to require improvement in several areas including in the quality of teaching, effectiveness of leadership and pupil’s results.

Seven months later inspectors have found the school to be “taking effective action to tackle the areas requiring improvement”.

They added that the school needs to continue to build on the progress made but must also take further action to ensure “parents have the opportunity to discuss their concerns with school leaders”.

In a letter sent out to parents, the school governors said: “We feel confident that moving forwards and into the new academic year, we will continue to make improvements and further actions are already planned.”
